Industrialization is a phenomenon of the new times derived from the process of fusion of culture, economy, and technology in the modern society. Cultural merchandise is important foundation for the formation of cultural identity because it implies the overall culture, history, tradition, values, regulations, etc of a country. Cultural identity raises the nation’s competitiveness, acting as driving force of national development. Thus it’s attracting worldwide countries’ attention on cultural fusion and development. Development of digital science technology via 4th Industrial Innovation is expanding in various forms through ‘culture+scientific technique’ and China is also emphasizing on digitalization of culture through digital economic development. Convention, virtual reality, exhibition, and tourism are applications of digital cultural industry, which is leading changes in cultural consumption model. Especially, fusion of digital technology and real economy is presenting a new paradigm of digital cultural industry which centers around cultural resources. As follows, this study suggests development measures for fusion and expansion with other genres, with the example of ‘digital+cultural tourism’ fusion, presenting the characteristics and current status. Resolution search for cooperation with platforms utilizing fractionized policy, expanded consumption space through various content development, and growth of competitive cultural enterprises and talented people are required. Cultural digital derivative products, reflecting interactive technology, game technology, and artificial intelligence technology, should also be developed in line with the trend.
