This study utilized official documents from CNPC and Chinese central government, related literature, analyzed the Construction and Connection between Central Asia – China Gas Pipeline and West - East Natural Gas Project and its economic effects. These pipelines are developing substantial energy networks between Central Asia and China. Also, They reflects the economic interests between natural gas import country (China) and main export country(Turkmenistan), transit and export countries (Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan). From the economic viewpoint, China can import more cheaper price than sea transportation by LNG ship. Also, she can diversifies import lines of natural gas. Turkmenistan is able to diversify natural gas export roots and get economic gains from export to China, the biggest market in East Asia. Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan can get economic fruits from transit fee, create the opportunity to export her produced natural gas to China after the complement of connection between Central Asia – China Gas Pipeline and West - East Natural Gas Project. In Particular, Kazakhstan will resolve old domestic problem the connection of western (area of production) and eastern (area of consumption). Tajikistan also can obtain customs fee after the opening of forth line of Central Asia – China Gas Pipeline. After the openning of the first line of Central Asia – China Gas Pipeline, Russia proposed the aid of construction TAPI natural gas pipeline. It has the meaning on the containment of China’s expansion in Central Asia. Also, the demand of natural gas will be increased when the underdeveloped parts in Russia will enter rapid economic development stage. It willl be aggravated competition on central Asia natural gas between Russia and China. For this reason, construction and connection between Central Asia – China Gas Pipeline and West - East Natural Gas Project in China has huge possibility to become a competitive energy network with Russia and other countries’ natural gas pipelines in Central Asia. Also, These natural gas pipelines will help the realization of silk road economic belt which Xi Jinping proposed in September, 2013.
